2020

First 5 Ventura County assumes responsibility for all Help Me Grow Ventura County services.

As part of a strategic effort to maximize resources and funds, First 5 Ventura County takes over responsibility for implementing all Help Me Grow components. This allows for the ability to centralize family support, provider outreach, and cross-sector collaboration.

First 5 Ventura County becomes the lead organization for Help Me Grow Ventura County.

To better align with the strategic direction of Help Me Grow systems in California, First 5 Ventura County takes over as organizing entity and continues to fund the local Help Me Grow effort.

Help Me Grow Ventura County is established with funding from First 5 Ventura County.

Ventura County becomes the 4 th county in California to gain affiliate status and join the Help Me Grow National network. First 5 Ventura County is the primary funder and contracts with the Landon Pediatric Foundation and Ventura County Public Health to implement the local system.

Local partners participate in the Help Me Grow California Learning Community.

Staff from First 5 Ventura County, the Landon Pediatric Foundation, Tri-Counties Regional Center- Early Start, and Ventura County Public Health participate in statewide meetings to learn about the Help Me Grow system and access technical assistance for local implementation.

2011

Developmental Screening Collaborative of Ventura County is established.

With funding and support from First 5 Ventura County, staff from the Landon Pediatric Foundation and Ventura County Public Health create a network of local partners in child health care, early childhood, and early intervention.

First 5 Ventura County contracts with the Landon Pediatric Foundation.

Funding is provided to promote developmental screening in pediatric clinics and practices in Ventura County.
